Peter Coveliers is currently the Senior Representative for the European Investment Fund based in Amsterdam.
Previously he was the Head of Strategy and Business Development at the European Investment Fund. As such he was responsible for business development in various thematics including Greentech, Life science, Space and other tech sectors. His team had over EUR 15bn Assets under Management invested in Venture Capital and Private Funds with diverse sector strategies.
During his tenure his Team negotiated the EUR 400m EU- China Co investment Facility with the Silk Road Fund. He signed the transaction with the EU President and the then Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang in the Great Hall of the People the agreement in 2017.
He was a member of the European Investment Bank Group Climate Roadmap steering group refocussing the Group on the Climate Agenda and setting clear organisational and strategic Climate Targets for the Group. He represented the Group in the EU Platform for Sustainable Finance.
As Deputy Head of the European Investment Bank’s Climate Change and Energy Division, he was responsible for innovative climate action funds and structured finance transactions.
